  Nathan Shelton.  

 

Director:

Nate Shelton began his automotive industry career, joining Hooker Headers after serving in the US Navy. At Hooker Nate went from Locator Rep to Sales Manager. In 1987, he moved to K&N Engineering in Riverside, California. He helped K&N grow into the automotive business and from a $4 million a year company to a $100-million-a-year corporation over the course of about 14 years. He was eventually offered an opportunity to acquire part of K&N.
Shelton sold his interest in K&N in 2002 and even with the intentions of retiring, started a rep business, S&S Marketing. In June of 2005 he worked with others to buy B&M Racing and Performance. This group subsequently purchased McLeod and Hurst. Shelton now serves as chairman of the B&M Automotive Group that is headquartered in Chatsworth, California.

Shelton served 12 consecutive years on the association's Board of Directors and was chairman of the board for two years. Over the years he served on multiple committees and councils.
